Raffia shoes, handmade by a women's collective in Morocco

In 2019, BOTTINES launched a new exclusive shoe line made from natural raffia material. The shoes are produced in Morocco, where Bottines works closely with a collective of twenty women. These women are specialize in handwork and work from home when their kids are asleep. They earn a fair wage and thereby can support themselves.

Raffia is a material that is made from palm leaves. The leaf is stripped into strips, which are then dried. The bars are colored with natural dyes in various fresh summer colors. They are then tied by hand.
